Last Friday, on the Rembrandt meeting, Max won the best presentation award for his beautiful talk on how neutrophils can enhance CD8+ T cell recruitment to the inflamed endothelium. Merel won the HeArt in Science Award for most beautiful image/art piece, which she named: Cellestial map!

Project MERCURY is taking off! Prof Noam Zelcer has been awarded an NWO open competition grant to study hepatic APOB metabolism and VLDL production. To do so, innovative proteomic and genetic approaches coupled to in vivo studies will be used to understand how APOB/VLDL is lipidated, trafficked, and secreted in hepatocytes.

At the annual Dutch Atherosclerosis Society (DAS) meeting, Lobke received the award for Best Flash Talk for her presentation on the role of LXR in macrophage immune activation, while Ricky was awarded Best Poster Presentation for his work on the role of IRF1 in macrophage function.
