Our new review, “Multi-level transcriptional control of specific macrophage responses,” is now published in The EMBO Journal.

In this review, Alexandra Drakaki, Josje Huisman and Marten Hoeksema discuss how multiple layers of transcriptional regulation enable macrophages to generate specific responses to environmental signals. In particular, the review highlights the emerging role of secondary signal-dependent transcription factors in fine-tuning macrophage responses.
